This Strawberry Iced Tea combines the robust flavor of black tea with the sweetness of fresh strawberries and a touch of lemon for a refreshing summer beverage. Perfect for cooling down on hot days!

  • 8 cups of water
  • 4-5 black tea bags (you can also use green tea bags if preferred)
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice (optional, for a citrusy twist)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Additional strawberry slices for garnish (optional)

  1. Boil the Water: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Brew the Tea: Remove the pot from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup:
    • In a separate saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and the remaining 4 cups of water.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes, or until the strawberries are very soft and the sugar is fully dissolved.
    • Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the strawberry mixture, pressing down on the strawberries to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the strawberry pulp.
  4. Mix the Tea and Strawberry Syrup: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and the strawberry syrup. Stir well.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: If you like a hint of citrus, add the fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.
  6. Chill the Tea: Refrigerate the tea for at least 2 hours, or until it is well chilled.
  7. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled strawberry iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional strawberry slices if desired.
  8. Enjoy!: Your refreshing strawberry iced tea is ready to be enjoyed!

Feel free to adjust the sweetness and the strength of the tea to suit your taste. Enjoy your refreshing drink!
